I came back a few hours later with the cash and they had killed the cat!!
In Response To: No it's not! ()

My experience with the SPCA that made me really wonder about them was in Surrey a few years ago when I went to the shelter to volunteer and I saw a sad looking black cat huddled in its litter box. I tried to adopt it but they wouldn't take a check or a credit card, and they wouldn't let me sign the papers unless I paid. But I told everyone in the place that I wanted to adopt that cat.

I came back a few hours later with the cash, I think it was about $95.00 and they had killed the cat!! And they didn't even care. No one cared at all - in fact I was treated like *I* was a problem because I got so upset!

I left and never returned and now I am going to start fighting them too. They were nasty and cruel to the cat and to me. I won't ever forget! Thank you AAS for giving them and me a voice!

We cannot conceive of a reason for silencing anyone who is being investigated that is in the public good
The BC SPCA uses its intimidating and unregulated powers to silence animal owners and critics
If you are concerned at the SPCA's power and lack of recourse for victims, write these Ministers:
Is this even legal?
No it's not!

This is a story that AAS has heard many times for more than ten years
So you are upset about the cat. Well do something about it
