This is contrary to the rule of law and to the basic values of a democracy

"Judge dismisses drug charges because police broke down door."

Often the courts seem to be too careful in protecting citizens from the law, allowing pedophiles and crooks for example to get off Scot-free when the police have bent the laws that protect us all from the power of the police. Without the protection of the courts, we would all be in constant fear of our law enforcers.

But even when the SPCA police seize healthy animals, bringing the media with it so that it can enrich itself, and then neglects the seized animals to death, or kills them outright; even when the SPCA police seize property without a warrant; even when the SPCA police makes the owners sign gag agreements, on threat of their animals being killed; even when the SPCA police give seized animals back to the alleged neglector, after demanding hugely inflated costs; even then there is no oversight by the courts or the government.

This is contrary to the rule of law which requires checks and balances. It is contrary to the basic values of a democracy. The SPCA should not be allowed to get away with this. It must stop.
