Let them collapse, as they will, if they continue as they do now

Mr. Daniell's E-mail in response to the above subject, in which he in part quotes :
"As for deleting the Society from your will, I have to say that someone so poorly informed about the society's work should not be donating to the society in the first place", in my opinion clearly shows his lack of understanding the donor in general and a level of arrogance the BCSPCA can not afford. All of which is costing the SPCA more and more losses of donors.

I have made attempts for more than two years to make the CEO and the Board of Directors understand, that the Society at all times must be completely up front to the public, work together with all other like organizations and that even the slightest cover-up could only have negative effects, and, certainly there must be no secrets, such as secret websites, etc..
However, most times I did not even get an answer. Of course, I was only a lowly Community Advisory Council chairperson from the Nanaimo SPCA, even though one of the directors was also a member of our CAC, but I often thought that the CAC's recommendations, suggestions, etc. did not reach the board, or at least not in the form they were intended to.

My wife and I have willed our entire estate to the SPCA and we shall shortly change that will to the benefit of some other worthwhile animal welfare organization.

Rick Sargent (former chairman of the Board of Directors of the BC SPCA) and I agreed, when some time ago we said: Let them collapse, as they will, if they continue as they do now. Then we can go in, clear the rubble and build anew in a way which will make the BCSPCA a Society to be proud of.

The SPCA seems hell bent on destroying itself and that would be tragic for animals in BC
