There is one sure way to end the aquaculture's production of its "commodity". Stop eating salmon, farmed or otherwise. The ramifications of humanity's narcissism are pandemic. Stop eating other sentient beings and most pandemics would cease to be a threat to the "top of the food chain." Some time ago some humans discovered that they could continue to exist, quite happily, without having to rape and pillage all of those possessing sentience that happen to live "below them".
