Animal Advocates Watchdog

A letter to all the kind, compassionate AAS rescuers

When AAS asked my Mom, Cricket, if she and I would foster some poor, abused dogs, Cricket wasn't sure at first if she should accept different critters into our home, but I knew.

Thanks for sending Alta. Now she can take care of our Mom, Cricket, instead of trying so hard to take care of me - barking at any critter (person, dog, cat, bird) she thought might pose even a nanosecond of threat. Good for her! I felt safer with my little sis watching everything.

Thanks for sending Skye, Alfie, Rufie & Rochester too. They all learned fast (OK, except Skye - she really wanted to get her teeth on teensy cat, Maca). Alta will befriend Maca now. My sisters will be friends.

Alta is trying hard, & I'm helping her, to be strong as the only critter. Believe me, she doesn't like it - except for all the treats & attention, but even that doesn't make up for being the only dog now.

I think my two girls, Cricket and Alta, know that my spirit blows hard everytime they enter & exit the park [no friggin' belugas, we know!]. It was my fave place - a view of the north shore & more, plus lots of dogs to play with. Now Alta watches for my friends John & Flynn every day, just like I did.

Lots of love to Cricket and Alta, and Maca and all the wonderful rescuers at AAS, from above,
Sunshine Tyda Buddha Dog

Tyda was Cricket Fox's dear old terrier cross dog who died last week
