The SPCA really needs to get its act together and support NO DOGS outside

This is beyond cruel. It makes me ill. How, HOW could any animal organization call themselves a society to prevent cruelty and go on to support leaving a dog outside? I can't imagine a worse fate for such a social creature. I adopted a 4 year old dog who'd spent her entire life (before me) outside in a yard. She was terribly unsocialized, and nervous and had terrible separation anxiety....all because she had been so totally isolated.
The SPCA really needs to get its act together and support NO DOGS outside. I don't care where the SPCA is...or what community. Dogs should never, ever be left outside for extended periods of time. It is totally, totally abusive and cruel to do so.
