Forgotten Felines founder, Penny March, needs a lot of help! *LINK* *PIC*

Penny has been in a car accident and the injuries are preventing her from being able to care for her cats as she would like. If you can spare a few hours to help clean the shelter and cuddle cats, it would be greatly appreciated by the felines and Penny. If you can give a hand, please let us know via email when you are available. The fabulous felines are super appreciative and you are bound to be more than compensated by feline affection.

Put in its most simple terms, Forgotten Felines mission statement is WE LOVE CATS!!! Short, tall, big, small, fat, slim, white, black, brown, striped, spotted, short tails, long tails, no tails, - we love ‘em! Whether they are young or old, sick or well, they will be cared for. Far too often cats are considered disposable. As kittens are frequently free, it is easier to get a new kitten than care for the one you have who may need vet care. Or the cat is now an inconvenience so is tossed out to fend for itself or turned in to a shelter. These wonderful creatures deserve so much more, so Forgotten Felines will care for any cat in need. Of course, it is a no kill shelter and no animal will ever be euthanised unless the cat is suffering incurable pain.

Finding enough loving homes for these cats can be a challenge as the need is so great. There are many lovely cats that are adopted into loving homes, but the seniors tend to be overlooked as do the cats with FIV. These cats should have many, healthy happy years ahead of them, and should have the companionship of a person who cares just for them. To deal with this issue, Forgotten Felines has pioneered the Companions Care Program (read more).

There is always a need for volunteers. Whether it is working at the shelter cleaning and cuddling, manning an adoption centre, fostering cats or kittens, organizing, phoning, fundraising, we want you! Please visit our What You Can Do section to find out more.

Unfortunately, cat food doesn’t grow on trees, at least we haven’t come across one. There are a lot of little tummies that need filling, so donations of food and supplies are greatly appreciated. Even more important are cash donations to help with food and vet bills. For more ways to assist us, please visit here. PS. If you see a cat food tree, please let us know!
