Very good letter - and right on the mark. I can understand the angst of the situation and the desire to do something positive - but common sense points to the fact that we are always dealing in a numbers game. This one wins - another loses. People just don't seem to get it (or want to). Maybe if they were thinking in terms of people instead of animals they'd make sense of it. Theoretically......If we bring someone from "Wherever" for open heart surgery - your son/daughter won't get it. Sorry - but if the budget permits, we might be able to help you out with the funeral arrangements.
