Personally, I think THIS is what I'm being sued for saying

Personally, I think THIS is what I'm being sued for saying...the SPCA thinks by slapping a defamation of character suit on me, that I'll be quiet and not write my opinions in the papers anymore.

I will say time and time again, the system as it is now is not working. There are countless dogs at countless shelters waiting for good homes. Those really good homes are few and far between. And on top of that, many dogs who are quite wonderful, deteriorate quickly in shelters. Dogs do not do well in jail cells.

And there are also unfortunately those dogs who have less than desirable traits such as aggression with other dogs, food or toy possession issues. And for these dogs it is even harder to find good homes for. If not almost impossible. The answer is not to kill them. The answer it to try as best as possible to make sure they are not born in the first place. Hence, my constant appeal for the SPCA to push lawmakers into a dog breeding licensing system.
Let's have only the ethical breeders breeding.

And if the SPCA proclaims the above is not doable, well what is then? Because the free-for-all-system of anyone breeding anything for a quick buck sure as heck is not working.......waaaaaay too many dogs are out there suffering in shelters, at the end of chains.

I have to wonder what Lori would say if SPCA staff went on strike?
Boy, would I support a strike if there was one for better conditions for animals at the SPCA!
