I was on the Board, in charge of animal welfare

I was on the Board, in charge of animal welfare, at the time you volunteered for the shelter, as you well know.
We hardly ever had an empty cage, not that I can remember, but were usually over full.
It is true that a few times a cat was brought in and killed behind my back, usually a feral, and I had some very hot words with the shelter manager as well as the president and at least once I let a feral "accidentally" get away to save it.
In those days the "No Kill Shelter" was still in its infancy, but most of us worked hard to make it come about one hundred percent and eventually did.
But what you are saying is totally false and I have no choice, but to post this reply.

SPCA newsletter makes unsupported claims
Why is the SPCA killing sick or 'unadoptable' animals instead of helping them or fixing them?
When I worked for the SPCA on Saltspring Island in 2000, a healthy cat was ALWAYS killed so that there would AlWAYS be an empty cage

The time I am referring to was when I was a staff person at the SPCA
