The dog you speak of that was put down was exceptionally aggressive

As a volunteer at the Burnaby SPCA at that time, the dog you speak of that was put down was exceptionally aggressive and despite our efforts in getting a professional trainer in to a help, an experienced volunteer who came every Mon, Wed & Fri to work with the dog in the afternoon (after dog walking hours) as well as restricting the dog to going with only experienced volunteers, the dog still bit on 2 occasions completely unprovoked. It was not an easy decision made by ayone at the shelter for the euthanasia and a lot of time and thought was put into it ... volunteer input was taken into account before a decision was made.

It is the owners of this dog that are to blame as the poor little soul should not have been kept like this. I hope this pooch comes back to this world being treated wonderfully, in whatever form sweet poochie comes back.
