Why was the Gyrfalcon not helped while it was alive? *PIC*

Reading both these articles makes me angry.

An investigation of the death of this Gryfalcon is of no consequence as the likelyhood of another Gyrfalcon landing at the Prison looking for help is virtually nil.

The question that I think should be being explored is: "Why was the Gyrfalcon not helped while it was alive?"

The fact that SPCA Wild Arc was called indicates that there was an interest in helping this Gyrfalcon.

After reading about Gyrfalcons I must wonder why this info was given "They were advised to let it go because it was owned by somebody and it would fly back to the owner."

Falcons are not birds easily approached and handled so to most of us ( and I know little about birds) that would indicate the need for veterinary intervention.

I am very sad that this beautiful amd endangered bird did not receive help but rather died a most likely dreadful death.
