Re: The SPCA should be above this sort of thing

The SPCA does not talk to its critics.
When items are posted about them, they have never posted to present their side of the issue.
No court is preventing them from doing just that.

I have attempted to speak with the SPCA at every level, locally and provincially, and I get ignored, except for the remarkable time when I threatened Ms. Troman with the MEDIA if she did not return the money I had sent to the SPCA for a membership (which they denied). She responded within hours.

But when I have asked them why they are pursuing this ridiculous lawsuit, which is draining money away from the very animals they claim to be helping, when I ask them about their policies re: feral cats, fostering animals for women in Transition Houses, the SPCA's Food Labelling Program etc., I am met with complete silence.

I don't believe the SPCA contacted any of the defendants in the lawsuit to discuss anything.
As one of the many people who wrote to the SPCA with grave concerns about the lawsuit - which the SPCA initiated, and pursues, I received no response. I had to read Ms Troman's response on the WatchDog.

BC SPCA President Mary Lou Troman's letter to AAS supporters

Nobody from the SPCA ever contacted me
President's letter raises more concerns
The SPCA should be above this sort of thing
Re: The SPCA should be above this sort of thing
Ms. Troman has not answered the question of allocation of money
MsTroman says her letter is to address concerns about the money being used, but then fails to do so
This expensive letter answers none of the concerns raised by the dedicated animal welfare workers who wrote
I would welcome the SPCA's refutation of even one of the "defamatory" accusations made against it by any one of the welfare groups throughout BC
I also look forward to a face to face discussion
