Hello, I am a resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario. I read the article titled "The BC SPCA: A prison camp for animals" ( http://www.animaladvocates.com/top-stories/PrisonCampForAnimals.htm ) on your website. I wanted to share my story with you as it rings incredibly similar. I was an employee at our local OSPCA affiliate Humane Society who was fired for trying to get veterinary care for an animal that was left to die by an incompetent manager.

Unfortunately, there are no organizations such as yours in this area to turn to for help. I am a lone soul trying to get people to open their eyes and see what is really going on at these shelters, but it is a difficult battle. As you're probably aware, one person speaking out against the "holier than thou" humane society can make life complicated.
