These reports and pictures are extremely hard to look at. This is beyond horrid. It is bad enough for an animal to be abandoned and to end up in an SPCA cold, 'jail' cell, but this???
To be left hurt and not attended to is beyond animal cruelty. Who is responsible for this? Has this person been fired? What exactly has the SPCA done to make sure none of this ever, ever happens again?
Once again the SPCA shows itself to be an organization that does not do animal welfare. And yet, they want to sue us for voicing concerns over how the SPCA is run.
The SPCA shoots itself in the foot all on its own by showing its 'true colours'. However, I hope the Burnaby SPCA is an isolated, terrible, awful incident.
