It is incredible that this is still going on. It is even more incredible that a small operation such as AAS is the one forever asking the city to do something about this senseless suffering of so many dogs. Why has the SPCA not continually been asking the city to do the same? This backyard breeding of dogs is not fair to the dogs, the neighbours, or the people who buy these dogs and end up with a dog with behaviour and health problems. It is not fair to put people in danger by allowing these protection breeds to be bought and sold willy nilly. Many, many of these dogs are going to end up in shelters. And taxpayers pay for this gross neglect of the city to do something.
I appeal to the city and to the SPCA to stop the backyard breeding of dogs and all the cruelty attached to it.
