Lori has devoted many years of her busy life (she is a school teacher and a mother of two) to helping dogs in SPCAs and other pounds. For criticizing the SPCA for not stopping backyard breeding and for describing the conditions she saw at an SPCA, the BC SPCA is suing her in Supreme Court for defamation. In fact, the SPCA tried to ruin her family's Christmas by serving her with more writs two days before Christmas. There was no need for any haste, the SPCA started this action in August 2004, and the SPCA could easily have waited until after Christmas, but it actively and deliberately chose to serve us all again, two days before Christmas.

The fact that it did this just before Christmas proves one of the things we are being sued for saying - that the SPCA is run by bullies.
