And then there was Cheech *PIC*

And then there was Cheech…
When AAS was called by Delta SPCA staff asking for the same help, we called the BC SPCA’s boss about Cheech too. He refused our offer and sent some of his closest staff to make sure that Cheech got killed. The rest is history. Some Delta SPCA staff and volunteers stole Cheech from under management’s noses, while CTV aired it all, and Cheech was whisked into the rescue network. The City of Delta received so many letters of outrage that it refused to renew its dog-control contract with the SPCA and the Delta Humane Society took over that duty, and is now doing a stellar job of dog-control combined with real animal welfare, just as is LAPS in Langley, the Coquitlam Animal Shelter in Coquitlam, the District of North Vancouver Animal Shelter, and others who have replaced the SPCA as dog-catcher. AAS just sent the Delta Humane Society $300 for its cat spay/neuter campaign. This is the kind of partnership AAS always hoped to have with the SPCA, but now feels it is no longer reasonable to keep hoping.

Cheech... the dog the SPCA said lunges at children's throats
