These polls are very misleading. The current standings for this poll are: 60% against ending the 'hunt' and 40% for. What's wrong and misleading with this poll is that it's not a 'hunt', it's a slaughter.

The polsters call it a hunt and by wording the poll to make it appear that is just that and not a slaughter, many people in Canada will vote against ending the hunt because they believe that that's all it is.

When a poll is worded: 'Should the slaughering of 350,000 seals a year be ended', the numbers are always in favour of ending it.

One also has to remember which media outlet is conducting the poll. The Globe and Mail are notorious for supporting the slaughter of seals. Every article they've ever written about the seal slaughter is always in favour of the sealers.

Just don't be mislead by some of these polls. The only poll that you can actually believe as fact, is that 350,000 plus seals will be slaughtered for their fur this year and the Government of Canada aren't going to stop until they've pushed them to extinction.
