Animal Advocates Watchdog

Her cat was lost last year

It appears when she when she went on holidays last year she lost her cat when it was left with a sitter not able to deal with that animal either.

Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done to protect animals from owners who are unable or unwilling to take some obvious steps.

The sitter phoned around to find a place to take the animal without it's records and the kennel is supposed to be Creatures Great and Small on David St. The sell mainly insects and reptiles and the food for them too. They sell kittens on a regular basis. While their ad says that they board cats and birds, I understand that this is the kennel that may have accepted the dog.

While the article says that the sitter spent over $ 500 in vet care for the dog, it has not been possible to find out which vet the dog actually went to, to confirm the dog had any treatment at all. The article said that the cost would have been another $ 800.00. Seems a little steep for a broken leg. This may turn out that the dog didn't get any veterinary treatment at all.
