I have serious concerns about the manager of the above location. I have heard from a very reliable source that she is a backyard breeder and comes close to a puppy mill. I hope that someone from each of the Vancouver office of the SPCA, the Mayors office of Salmon Arm and the Board of Directors of the S.P.C.A. will investigate this matter immediately and not do a cover-up because eventually it would be exposed to the public. As well, I understand that she does ear cropping with some of the dogs that she breeds. The S.P.C.A. has a policy statement (#19) in regard to surgical mutilation.

Dear Sirs/Madams
As a former donator to the SPCA, I am very interested to know about the following concern.
I have received information from a valuable source to say that the manager of the SPCA in Salmon is also a breeder. I understand that she has many ads in many newspapers offering her animals for sale. She is also cropping dogs ears when requested to do so by owners. One ad offers shih tsus, a two year old male and four females two to seven years old for "kennel reduction"!!!! Now she is needing to "get rid of " dogs that are no longer useful to breeding business!!!
I am appalled and demand that this be investigated! It is against the SPCA principles for dog's ears to be cropped and I wish to receive a letter following the investigation of this breeder. Do we need more dogs???? Anyone who works with the SPCA should understand that the answer is NO!
I am enclosing a SPCA statement regarding the mutilation of animals and await you answer to the practices of the above breeder.
Thank you
