Thank you Mia Stainsby for writing about foie gras. It seems as if the public is not aware of the psychological torture animals undergo in modern agriculture. Foie gras is one of the cruelest of the industries.

For good reasons, foie gras has been banned in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Czech Republic, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, and Israel -- and now soon in California.

Our laws are a reflection of our society's values, and do not condone the torture of small innocent animals. I would not dine at a restaurant that serves foie gras.
