A man who cared for an abandoned fawn is upset that conservation officials euthanized the animal the same day they seized it from his Winnipeg office. But Manitoba Conservation says taking in a wild animal is against the law, and that there are no facilities in the province licensed to handle wild deer that have been domesticated. Stanbra said the deer, which he named Baby, had been in better health for the past few weeks. He took Baby to work so he could give it a bottle at lunchtime, letting the animal sleep in a tub behind his desk.
