I am sure that the effective spay/neuter programme in Nanaimo has helped reduce euthanasia rates

I have known cats who have been at the Nanaimo SPCA for a period of years. Even the most difficult ones have eventually been placed. Who can ever forget Denver, Midnight, China, Sunny, and some of the long stay residents? The Nanaimo SPCA does a good job in finding new homes for animals.

I am sure that the effective spay/neuter programme in Nanaimo has helped reduce euthanasia rates. The Nanaimo Council has also helped with grants for this purpose.

I hope that the SPCA will enforce a spay-neuter policy for all of their animals across the board provincially, instead of endlessly delaying year after year.

It is this honesty about past, as well as present, practices that is so badly needed from every SPCA
