Who will be brave enough to report dog fighting on BC reserves?

Political correctness and fear are responsible for some of the worst cruelty to animals in Canada.

For decades, people who live near reserves, work on reserves, or even live on reserves, have described terrible brutality and even torture of cats and dogs.

The outraged cries in the U.S. over the public discovery of dog-fighting ought to be heard here too, where right in the Fraser Valley there are dog-fighting rings on reserves. But the knowledge has been muted by decades of silence by the enforcers of the laws against dog fighting by telling brave complainants that cruelty on a reserve can't be investigated without permission of the band.

That excuse was proved by AAS not to be true several years ago. (Read here: http://animaladvocates.com/cgi-bin/newsroom.pl/noframes/read/10044 )

We urge the SPCA to investigate the known dog-fighting in and around Chilliwack as well as other locations.

If you have any information, please send it to AAS at animaladvocates@telus.net.

All information sent to AAS will be kept completely confidential unless you positively state otherwise. Please indicate if you want your information forwarded by us to the SPCA. Or you may send your information directly to the SPCA.

Sadly, nothing has changed since that letter was written and it's not going to even start to change until the public is informed. Animals on reserves need someone brave to tell the truth to the media and if the media aren't brave, then there is the internet.
