Isn't it about time that the BC SPCA stopped selling intact pets? The $50 spay/neuter certificates mentioned in the Petcetera advertisement don't go very far in these days of sky-high veterinary costs.
So many small groups who run on shoestring budgets fix all of their pets prior to adoption. The BC SPCA should be setting an example. With their multi-million dollar budget, they have the finances to do this if it is considered a high-priority item. I should note that many SPCA branches, for example Nanaimo, are fixing all their animals. All tbe branches should have this policy.
