I adopted Temperance and Moonshine *PIC*

I adopted Moonshine and Temperance the foal. Yes, they were feral horses. But they are not mean. They are just shy horses that have had bad experiences. With a little time and some sweet feed they came right along. You have to have the patience of Job. They just want to be loved. They just need to taught to be loved.

Every day Moonshine is settling in more. She is very vocal when we come home from work or leave in the morning for work, "Hey, I'm right here, I have an apple and hay. I'll see you after work", she seems to be saying.

She is very shy so she doesn't have a halter on. I can not push her, I just have to take baby-steps with her. As for Temperance, he's turned in to a very nice young man. He is so willing to learn and he tells his mom that these human are great and that it feels good to be touched.

In the last two months Moonshine has watch me touch Temperance every day, and now sniffs me when I touch Temperance. I can touch her when I am sitting down. That has just happen in the last two weeks! We are so excited. Moonshine is getting used to being loved. Food is the way to a man's heart it is said, and this has come true with my new horses.
Cheers, Joanne , Moonshine & Temperance & Kevin, their new dad.

When AAS was told by Christman earlier this year about these horses, we sent $500 to her vet to help with the bills. You can help Carla's horses too *LINK* *PIC*
