'Priorities are questionable' ( Star, August 29/08)

Re . Your experience disheartened me (Star, August 27).

It is so, so wonderful that you actually read the papers. And that you actually, probably obtained permission to respond to an article in the (Star, August 22) regarding Mr. Ryan Ver Berkmoes of Oakland, California, having a bad experience while traveling to the Yukon.

As the Environment Minister, it is a real shame and frankly disgraceful that you have not responded to open letters from the Yukon public. An example is the one in the Star, August 1 regarding the increased "bag limit" on wolves. You have not made public how your department can justify the murder of even more wolves! Yet, you were quick to comment on the experience of outsiders.

Also as Tourism Minister you have never responded to public concerns about government funding of the Yukon Quest.

Are you not interested in responding the concerns brought forward by the local public, Taylor? C'mon, I know you are reading this letter.

You certainly don't appear to be speaking/responding for Yukon's wildlife or sleddogs.

I await your response for the animals.
