Jane Goodall and her work in behalf of chimpanzees and the study of their social and family life is well documented. She established the Jane Goodall Institute which supports the Gombe research and she is a global leader in the effort to protect the chimpanzees and their habitats. The Institute has nineteen offices around the world and has a global youth program as well as programs for development in Africa. This lecture/seminar should be quite interesting.

Today, Goodall devotes most of her days to advocacy on behalf of chimpanzees and the environment. She travels over 300 days a year. Goodall is also active and a board member for the world’s largest chimpanzee sanctuary outside of Africa, Save the Chimps in Fort Pierce, Florida. She has written numerous books, including children’s books, has produced films and has been honored by the Walt Disney Company with a plaque. Her awards are many and she is a dedicated, educated woman well versed in her subject and exciting to hear.
