"Californians voted 63% to 37% for a measure that...gives all humans the right to stand up, lie down, turn around and fully extend their limbs."

Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

It should be noted that, during the same election, Californians voted against full rights to all its citizens. They voted to rescind the right of gay marriage.

I wonder, if this sounds ridiculous!

The animal rights movement is one that seeks to grant the rights that belong to all sentient beings to all sentient beings. Simple AND it doesn't sound ridiculous.

Logic and compassion are inextricably intertwined; as are all of us. If your neighbour is not granted all her or his rights, do not be deceived, neither are you. If you allow the torture and/or murder of any sentient being, you are saying, one way or another, that you allow the same for you.

This is a planet, the foundation of which, is interdependance. Take a careful look and you will see it. Mind you, your look has to be a careful one due to the fact that we are being deceived in many, many ways. It may sound paranoid, but it really is true.

It is ridiculous!

The notion that animals should have rights was widely ridiculed when it was first advocated in the 1970s
