Compassion for those suffering was the apparent reason for this gala, as the guests ate their way through countless bodies and wore countless skins of those who just don't count at all... afterall, they can't raise $10 million, can they? They don't make meaningless money, don't make ugly movies, don't design "fabulous" clothes, don't even sing lascivious songs.

But their songs and their cries are dearer to some of us than all the symphonies, all the rap, all the rock, all the trivial noise that humans have ever made.
