On Boxing Day I rescued a 5 to 6 month old puppy from the side of a country road sitting in a snow drift. I had encountered this young homeless fellow sleeping outside our local liquor store about a week prior and upon seeing his puppy thought I'd better check it out. The little fellow is a mixed breed, brindle in colour with white crest and paws....a real sweetie. I have driven by over the last while because our temperatures up here have been down to -21 and although I've seen the young fellow asleep outside I was also concerned with his canine companion. Local shop owners who have been aware of the situation say that the pup was treated very well but that the young fellow hadn't been spotted since Christmas Eve. They pleaded with me to find a better home for this little one and I'm trying my best. Our AAS rescued dogs, Dudley and Koko, have already shown him "the ropes" and he's a real quick learner but they're getting up in age and their patience isn't what it used to be. Little Guy is still teething and mischievous and needs constant supervision. By Tues. Dec. 30th, everyone in our household will be back at work and I don't want to leave him with "the boys" so we are needing someone to foster him until "the perfect" family can be found. If anyone wants more info they can contact us directly.
Thank you for your vast networking capabilities and your heartfelt compassion for our 4-legged friends.
