Here is the dog that was taken by the SPCA *PIC*
In Response To: Gentle Ben: I negotiated a surrender of this poor Shepherd x Lab ....the best Christmas present I could hope for! *PIC* ()
"The SPCA came to the home in the summer due to complaints. They took away the one-year old lab, saying to the owners that they could rehome the younger dog, but they wouldn't take Ben because he was older so less likely they could rehome him...poor Ben. He was chained up for 7 years."
I'd call that cherry-picking, not true animal welfare.
