My letter to US Weekly magazine: I wish that they could attend the skinning of live animals

Here is my letter to the editor.

Dear US Weekly,

As I am NOT a fan of so called movie "stars" because of their parasitic nature in society, and do not read about them, attend their movies, watch their television, etc. etc. I was very pleased to hear about your editorial on the wretched fur trade and the wretches who wear them. I heard about this editorial on an animal advocate website and thought I would drop a line to say thanks for the courage for this coverage.

The wearing of fur speaks volumes about the types who wear it. I wish that they could attend the skinning of live animals who give their lives for these obscene products or witness the horrors of an abattoir, or witness the atrocities in puppy mills, live animals in cages for foods, the list goes on and on ad nauseam.

Too bad more of these rich pathetic people do not step up to the plate to help animals, abused, abandoned, tortured, fought, mutilated, loss of habitats, etc. etc. Then and only then, could I even hold up a miniscule of respect for these rich, spoiled pampered brats who honestly believe the sun rises and sets upon them.

Again, thank you and perhaps, maybe an article on puppy/kitten mills in the near future? The mass and rapid extinction of species (pick any country and there you will find a myriad of stories that will curl your hair).

We need the power of the spoken and written word to carry forward the voices for the innocents who suffer and die in horror for no particular reason other than decoration or food.

Sincerely,

Samantha Raftery
