I negotiated a surrender of this poor Shepherd x Lab ....the best Christmas present I could hope for! I'm calling him Ben because he's so gentle.
For the past few days I had been attempting to work with the owners of this dog to bring him in out of the cold... they didn't believe that the dog's shaking was due to shivering because of the cold!
Poor Ben, during the recent sub-zero weather and wind his 'inside' home was the concrete floor in the garage. He was chained to a hook in the floor. Where he got terrified with the high winds we had recently he chewed the stairs that lead into the house in desperation to get shelter and comfort. I saw Ben cower when the woman owner came into the garage...
