I got a call from a lady not long ago who was looking to place 3 mice.

Apparently she was at a birthday party for one of her sons friends and the father of the kid thought a Fear Factor game would be a good idea so he bought some mice from a pet store to use during the party.

After the party he was going to *release* them. Three white mice to fend for themselves. Would they blend into the environment & survive?? Not likely. How could he think of using and disposing of another living being for his entertainment.....but then again, not much surprises me anymore.

And what does it teach the kid? Obviously the kid is already at a serious disadvantage as his gene pool doesn't run that deep.

Thankfully the lady was there at the time to pick up her son, said she would take them and then called us. She was really nice and even made a $100 donation to our rescue for helping.
