Sea Life Adventure: Is exploiting animals for profit a sound basis for animal welfare? *LINK*

Sea-Life Adventure is the south east’s premier aquatic attraction with over 40 unique displays featuring sea life from all over the world.
Along with our Adventure Towers Play Centre and Waves Cafe, it’s a great visit for the whole family any time of year.

The hiring of a person whose experience is managing a large, commercial exhibit that exploits animals for money, is problematic for some animal welfarists. The worry is that a history of exploiting animals for profit may not be congruent with saving animals' lives no matter what the cost. Mr Davis' organizing and fundraising skills are valuable of course, but the Nanaimo SPCA under Lorrain Chiondro was admired for the skill that saved lives. It is to be hoped that Mr Davis has that skill.
