More on Warren Palfrey. His interview on Sled Dog Central (see the link) reflects a remarkably callous attitude towards the dogs in his care. In his interview, he offers quite a few reasons why he would "get rid" of a dog in order to have a more competitive team. This certainly isn't one of the more compassionate mushers I've come across. As a northerner living in "sled dog country", this type of attitude really turns me off.
