Animal Advocates Watchdog

Letter New York Times: Can we truly say we are not savages any more?!

Hello out there, this is the 21st. century.
We are educated. We know the human species in the world of mammals is not the only animal capable of feelings and thought. All mammals are sentient.
So why is the human species still wallowing in the draconian middle ages.
We enslave other beings by making them work for us, or make them do things for our enjoyment.
We keep them prisoners and torture them and kill them and eat them.
We torture them for research.
In this 21st. century we all know that the product of other species is not needed any more to keep us alive and healthy.
As a matter of fact, we find more and more, that we would have healthier and longer lives without consuming animal products.
Yet we still do use animal products to a very great extend, not only harming ourselves, but also our planet.
Can we truly say we are not savages any more?!
