Eccles, a committee member for three years, said he agonizes over his conflicting roles and his knowledge that decisions by the committee can result in animals suffering.

Quite the conflict of "interest". Eccles admits that decisions made by the committe he's on can result in animals suffering. Why is he still a member?? As Chief Animal Protection Officer for the BCSPCA wouldn't he best serve to stop the animals from suffering?

Has anyone reading this article stopped to ask - Where does UBC get their "supply" of cats from??
