What a tragic start to the rabbits in Coombs. This is a very redneck area, and the rabbit group is going to have to be extremely vigilant in keeping the rabbits contained.
Unfortunately, I think the neighbour has the legal right to shoot the rabbits, though perhaps not, as the rabbits are now someone's "property" even though still classified as wildlife. Further, they weren't endangering her animals - I hope the rabbit group has at least some rights if this should ever happen again.
