Bob Fawcett received compensation for his alleged " stress " after slaughtering 100 sled-dogs in 2010 when his Work-Safe B.C. claim was approved. When will these dogs receive compensation for the terrible suffering they endured, prior to their awful deaths ?
The answer is never. They were seen as excess baggage that needed to be gotten rid of. I for one will never forget them, even though I had never met them. But how in the world could you look into their most expressive eyes and do this to them? The rest of the dogs should be apprehended based on risk alone. The glare of publicity has somewhat faded in this case, so who can tell what will happen to the remaining 200.
The only answer that I can see is to go above the BCSPCA and appeal to the Provincial Government. I will be asking that an independent agency/group be set up to investigate complaints about the BCSPCA. The very fact that the remaining dogs are with the same owner that ordered the death of the other 100, and that the BCSPCA is powerless to do anthing about this speaks volumes about their redundency.
