SPCA: $200,000 needed for sled dog investigation. What for? To drive to Whistler once? For an excavator? *LINK*

From the BCSPCA press release.

"She notes that the cost of the BC SPCA investigation currently under way into the slaughter of the 100 Whistler-area sled dogs could be as high as $200,000. “Enforcement of animal cruelty laws, and the subsequent care of the thousands of injured and abused animals the BC SPCA seizes each year requires significant resources.”"

Where on earth have they spent or will they spend $200,000? All the SPCA has done is drive up to look at the survivors and apply for a report from WorkSafe BC. Do they expect to spend it all on an excavator?

PS: I believe they have quietly submitted their paperwork to Crown Council on this one.

You should get a reporter to ask them.

Sled dog slaughter investigation: Not able to collect all the evidence smells like a red herring
It's going to get smellier by June

Dr. Lake and the BC SPCA have not told the public the most common way to cull dogs *LINK*
Red for the blood of the dogs, black for this blackest of evils, white for the blatant whitewash
