In Response To: Where is he now? ()

This is some info I received from Vancouver Island Rescue Resource Network regarding JD. Furever After Small Dog Rescue offered help and there was some speculation that Victoria Adoptables had him. Then it was pointed out by a web link that he was at the Victoria SPCA. The link no longer works. http://bcspcapets.shelterbuddy.com/help/errorMsg.asp?e=1 and http://www.adoptapet.com/pet5389519.html Here is the copy of the write up. Wish I had saved his picture from the Victoria Shelter buddy link.

Char's comment: This was my thoughts when I checked the Vic SPCA shelter buddy link. If this is the same dog why say "Too many dogs" is the reason given for his being surrendered, which likely means he's used to other dogs." The original post: I'm a Registered Animal Health Tech at a Veterinary Hospital in Campbell River. A local citizen found this little dog hit by a car last night. I suppose one can assume his owners were found somewhere in between him being in Campbell River and making is way down to Victoria and they didn't want him???

A Little Bit About Me

J.D. is a little shaken up by finding himself at the shelter. He is a little timid just now, but it's early days. He would certainly gain his confidence back faster in the calm and loving midst of your family. "Too many dogs" is the reason given for his being surrendered, which likely means he's used to other dogs. You can't see in this photo, but his right arm is in a cast, poor guy, but it sure doesn't stop him from trotting along on his other three legs. He is an unusual mix of breeds, so you couldn't know that his back is about level with your knee- small but not a "toy" dog. You CAN see that he has the best ears; they're crazy. What a sweet boy this is. Please come down and see him, any day between noon and 5:00pm

Can you help to save the life and leg of wee JD? *PIC*
Any news on this little guy?
Inexpensive amputation was a good option for the dog and the SPCA
Has this dog been taken care of?
Looks like he ended up at the Victoria SPCA
Please hold on to him and do not surrender to the SPCA
I never had JD
Where is he now?
This is some info I received from Vancouver Island Rescue Resource Network regarding JD
Did the Victoria SPCA have JD's surgery done or not?
