About once a year AAS told of a dog that is kept confined in a box on a back porch or in a pen or in a garage. Concerned neighbours tell us that the owners of the dog kept a dog this way previously and then it disappeared. Some worry that the first dog was eaten. The second dog is always removed by one or more of the neighbours. We usually get "after" photos of some beaming dog in someone's lap or running in the woods, or swimming in a creek. Another dog was rescued just last week because of those fears, though this dog would have been rescued anyway because of the way it was so cruelly isolated as though it was so much farm livestock.
