Subject: SPCA vs Animal Advocates...

Dear Sir,

I am writing with respect to the ongoing legal battle between the SPCA and the Animal Advocates Society of B.C. I wish to voice my support for the Animal Advocates Society and say that I am very disappointed in general with the way affairs are handled at the SPCA. I have had a couple of personal experiences with the SPCA over the years and, although minor, was not impressed with the individuals I dealt with that were in their employ, nor with the inability of the SPCA to deal in a satisfactory manor with the situation at hand.

I sincerely hope you will look into the current abuse of power (sorry, but I really feel that is the only way to describe it) that the SPCA is wielding over the Animal Advocates Society. To have monies donated by the general public in good faith, to assist needy animals, wasted on a costly, unnecessary and ridiculously long legal action, is a crime in itself. I believe the public deserves to be made aware of where their money is really going and I believe our government has the power and the common sense to ensure that they do.

Thank you for your time and attention in this regard.

Respectfully yours,

Mrs. Kathy Holley
North Vancouver, B.C.

I hope that legislation to prevent this type of abuse of power will be enacted
