Animal Advocates Watchdog

For sheer unmitigated gall this takes the cake!

On Tuesday the 2nd of August, when the temperature was near 30 degrees, an alert animal-lover saw a poodle in a parked car in the full sun in the parking lot of Costco in Langley. He was drooling. Costco said it has no P.A. system.

She waited by the car from 12:15 to 12:45. She used her cell phone to call the Surrey SPCA and over and over the line was busy. Finally the owner came out and drove away his ears ringing from the woman's angry tongue-lashing.

She wanted to report the licence plate number and after two days of phoning the Surrey SPCA she finally got through.

Jessica told her that it is not the Surrey SPCA's job and to phone the police or the Langley pound.

Now most people would believe that lie. In fact, AAS hears from people who have believed that lie and are shocked and angry at the SPCA when I read the PCA Act section to them that permits any SPCA, anywhere in BC, to prevent the cruelty of dying in a hot car.

The number of people who hate the SPCA for its dog catcher contracts, its killing, its indifference, its "not my job" employees, and its lies is enormous and is the sole reason the SPCA is nearing financial collapse.
