Animal Advocates Watchdog

It is also why I say we so desperately need some spay and neuter laws

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the SPCA, or pound, or any other shelter took this information and made it mandatory that people attend a half hour info session on dog/cat ownership before they are allowed to adopt the animal out? I would bet volunteers could run this and have a bunch of simple sessions to inform the public on dog and cat ownership and I'll bet less animals would be returned or euthanized.

It is also why I say we so desperately need some spay and neuter laws to ensure only dogs being bred are those without aggression problems...whether that be towards humans or other animals. It is so very hard to correct some of these genetic problems, and so many of these dogs who wish not to be born in the first place end up dead due to unethical breeding practices.

The greatest single cause of death among dogs and cats is neither illness nor injury nor old age. It is euthanasia
