Animal Advocates Watchdog

I am sure you will have noticed.....

I'm sure that you will have noticed that the SPCA is piggybacking on Katrina fundraising here as well as it sending three employees to the scene of the disaster ten days late.

Thank you for your wonderful newsletter, now I am reading this board and sharing it with my friends. We are all animal lovers and all donated to the SPCA for years. I used to donate through United Way, but after learning about the huge salaries, I switched my donations to my local cat rescue group who I can see working their fingers to the bone and getting nothing but a lot of saved lives as reward.

My friends are all either switching or have switched to little local rescue groups because they hated the surly attitude to them and to animals at the SPCA so much. One of them actually volunteered one day at her SPCA shelter and refused to ever go back. She was in tears of anger and sadness and she told everyone she knew and she wrote a letter to the City of Surrey about what she saw too. That was just last year I believe so things are not changing as much at the SPCA as you say they are.

I will continue to share your board with everyone I know. Keep up the good work and bless you for helping chained dogs. After I heard what the SPCA does to dogs, how it test them and then kills them from my friend, I knew I could never report a chained dog to them.
