I used to be a supporter of the SPCA but a few years back when there was a lot of controversy when Barbara of the Vancouver pound was very critical of the methods at the SPCA. The large salary of the C.E.O. made me realize that little of my donated money was going to where I wanted it to. I haven't noticed any improvements in the track record of the SPCA and now to see them foolishly spending thousands of dollars for a court action against an organization that tries to better the lives of abused and unwanted animals is just ludicrous. How they can justify taking donated money meant for the betterment of animals is beyond me. It must be nice just to be able to dip into these funds to protect your empire thus depriving the animals.
